TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12

• NIPSCO retirees monthly luncheon is on Dec. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at The Brass Rail. All retirees, friends, and relatives are welcome.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 6:15 p.m. there will be do it yourself Christmas ornament making at the Grace Community Christian Church.

• Andy Leftwich & Friends Holiday Concert will be held at the REES Theatre on Tuesday, Dec 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. Leftwich is a four-time Grammy winner. He has been plating the fiddle since he was six and has been profession­ally performing since he was 15. This is a free concert.

• The Bremen Public Library is hosting Music and Move from 9:30 to 10 a.m. This is designed for toddlers and preschoole­rs. The kids will dance to songs and then do a cool-down stretch.

• The Lincoln High School Class of 1959 will be meeting for their monthly luncheon on December 12 at 11:30 a.m. at Hacienda. Call or text Barbara at 574-540-9194 if you plan on attending.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13

• Santa’s Workshop Story Time will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. This will start with a Christmas story with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the REES in Plymouth. There will then be cookie painting at Heartland Artist’s Gallery. To end the event there will be free Hot Cocoa and a Christmas treat at the French Press.

• To all Classmates of the Plymouth “Lincoln High School” class of 1958. We shall meet at Christo’s Family Dining every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Just north of town on Michigan St., You are welcome to bring your Husband or a Friend. If you have any questions call Marilee at 574-914-1878.

• There will be a blood drive at the Knights of Columbus, located at 901 East Jefferson St. in Plymouth from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Blood and Power Red donations are being taken. Blood is the most common type of donation, during which approximat­ely a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour. A Power Red donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. On Wednesday, Dec. 13 the Bremen Public Library will host their Questers Book Club from 2 to 3 p.m.

• Wiggle Worms, an interactiv­e story time for kids zero to five and their adult is held from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14

• Preschool storytime at the Bremen Public Library will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14. This encourages the developmen­t of early literacy skills in children three to five who are ready to attend independen­tly.

• Bremen Public Library will host their Anime-ton Club on Thursday, Dec. 14 from 4 to 5 p.m. Students in grades 6 to 12 are invited to watch a selected animated series each followed by a discussion.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15

• On Friday, Dec. 16 Homeschool @ the Library will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. to deliver Christmas cards and ornaments to residents are Miller’s Merry Manor’s nursing home. The group will also travel to various rooms to sign carols. The group will meet at the front of the nursing home.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16

• A free yoga class will be held at the Beach lodge in Culver on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 9 to 10 a.m. This class is led by Elizabeth Birsner. All levels are welcome and should bring their own yoga mat.

• The first ever Jingle & Mingle Spectacula­r: A festive Holiday Extravagan­za for Kids is being held by the Bremen PTO on Saturday, Dec 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is for kids and their parents to get into the holiday spirit together. At the event there will be pictures with Santa, make your own treats and holiday games. This is held at the Bremen Elementary/middle School.

• Bremen Public Library will host their Christmas Extravagan­za and Santa Visit on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. There will be refreshmen­ts, games prizes, photo ops, music and more available for those who attend.

• On Saturday, Dec. 16 the Potawatomi Wildlife Park will host their Luminaria Hike and Wagon Ride from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This even is a one mile hike through a guided luminary trail. This goes past a live nativity scene with live animals, the path leads to a bonfire where the Christmas story will be read from the Bible. The walk will then continue to the log house where the Warsaw Astronomic­al Society will help you see and imagine being a wise man following a star. The visitor center will have cookies hot chocolate and an ornament activity. The night will end with a wagon ride back to your car.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 18

• The Marshall County Health Department will be offering an extended hour immunizati­on clinic on Monday, Dec. 18 from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. There will be childhood and adult immunizati­ons available including influenza, COVID-19, and RSV vaccine. To schedule an appointmen­t, contact the Marshall County Health Department at 574-935-8565.

• On Monday, Dec. 18 holiday take and make crafts will be available at the Bremen Public Library while supplies last. This craft kit is for people ages 18 and older. This is available in the adult department.

• Tech time is back! We are excited to announce that Cindy from the Plymouth Public Library will be at the Life Enrichment Center/marshall County Council on Aging, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. to answer your cell phone and other device questions. If time allows, Cindy will share other features and programs of phones, tablets, and computers. This is a walk-in clinic, no appointmen­t needed.

• On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the Marshall County Museum is having a totally awesome Kids Day! The theme is “Fire!” in keeping with our newest exhibit. Children will learn fire safety with real firefighte­rs, play fun games and activities and create their own fire-breathing dragon. A special storytelle­r will weave tall tales, and the trains will be running in our legendary Train Room. They will have a great time playing and learning together. Don’t miss the fun! • The Bremen Public Library will be hosting a Noon Year’s Party on Saturday, Dec. 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students in grades 3 to 8 can go to the library to ring in the new year with a countdown at noon instead of midnight. There will be snacks, games and an opportunit­y to reflect on 2023. No registrati­on is required.
