Miller named Quilter of the Month

-

The Plymouth Friendship Quilter's Guild March Quilter of the Month is Debbie Miller from Monterey. She has been sewing all of her life starting with sewing projects in 4-H and has been a member of the Friendship Quilter's for three years. Debbie shared her Round Robin quilt with the group explaining how much fun "Round Robin" quilt challenges are. Each person starts with a center block of their choosing and then it is passed around to several other quilters and they each design and add a border or round. When the quilt borders are finished, it is returned to the owner. It is a great surprise to see how it turns out with different quilters adding rounds of their choosing as it is not shared until it is finished. The Friendship Quilters meet the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Marshall County Council of Aging Life Enrichment Center located at 1305 Harrison Street in Plymouth Indiana. All sewists are invited to come prior to the meeting on April 14 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for open sewing regardless of skill level to join in sharing and learning all about quilting and then attend the meeting. Bring your own machine and supplies.
