Clara M. Flory

March 11, 1938 - April 7, 2024

Clara M. Flory, 86, of Cassopolis, MI, formerly of Bourbon, IN, passed away on April 7, 2024 in Brookdale Assisted Living of Granger, IN. She was born to Edward and Frances (Yarian) Flory on March 11, 1938 in Bourbon, IN.

Clara received her education from Manchester University and her master’s degree from Indiana University. She worked in education at Garrett Elementary School, volunteered for the Church of the Brethren as a teacher in Nicaragua, and retired from the South Bend School Corporation. She attended Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren in Bourbon, IN when she resided in the area. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoor wilderness of her home.

Clara is survived by her brother, Lloyd (Ledajean) Flory of Edinburg, IN; her brother-in-law, Don Sellers of Bourbon, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances Flory, and her sister, Velma Sellers (1/10/2019).

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (10th Road, Bourbon, IN) with Pastor Crystal Jacobson officiating.

A celebration of life and a time of sharing will follow at Shalom Fellowship (5699 10th Road, Bourbon, IN 46504).
