Moon Open Mic to include storytellers, poets, improv performers
Moonitics Comedy Improv Troupe will join the Wild Rose Open Mic on Wednesday, May 15, from 7 to 9 p.m., along with retired forester turned storyteller Bruce Wakeland and a potpourri of other fine musicians and poets. People interested in performing at the open mic can go to www.wildrosemoon.com and click Programs to find the Open Mic tab to sign up. As of this press release, there are two spots still available. Open mic is a perfect place to try out new material or demonstrate new performance skills for singers, songwriters, musicians, poets, readers, thespians, storytellers, and standup comedians.
People who don’t want to perform are welcome to be part of the audience. The monthly open mic event is free to the public. Our alcohol-free, family-friendly venue welcomes all ages. The atmosphere is cozy, and the beverages and snacks are delicious. Of course, freewill donations are appreciated. If you can’t attend but would like to hear Open Mic performances online, performances are posted online at Wild Rose Moon Media Youtube and clicking on Playlists. Wild Rose Moon’s generous underwriters Gibson Insurance Agency, The Todd and Ellen Stillson Foundation, Bob Sturtevant, and Brad Serf make these online performances possible.
In addition to the captivating performances, our esteemed Host/emcee, Martina Samm, RDN, LD, will delve into the fascinating world of epigenetics. She will share insights on how diet, lifestyle choices, and our perception of the environment can influence and alter our genetic makeup, a concept that goes beyond the traditional understand
ing of inherited genetics. This educational segment promises to be as enlightening as it is entertaining.
Wild Rose Moon Performing Arts Center is at 115 North Michigan Street in beautiful Historic Downtown Plymouth.
