Daniel Pa­trick Dumouchelle left this life on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 21, 2018, to join the Lord in his new eter­nal life. He was born on June 5, 1939, to Anne Ber­berich Dumouchelle and Napoleon Wil­dore Dumouchelle in Peters­burg, VA. He is sur­vived by his wife, Genevieve (Ginny) Planck Dumouchelle; and his daugh­ters, Julie Dumouchelle Riles (Rusty) of Ma­toaca, VA, and Teresa Dumouchelle Smithers (Alan) of Rich­mond, VA; three grand­chil­dren, Christo­pher Knowles, Rachael Riles and Pa­trick Riles; sis­ter, M. Teresa Dumouchelle; brother, Charles M. Dumouchelle; and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews.

Dan grad­u­ated Bene­dic­tine High School in Rich­mond, VA in 1957. Af­ter high school he joined the US Air­force where he was de­ployed to Wies­baden, Ger­many be­fore he was dis­charged in 1961. In 1961 he be­gan his ca­reer at Philip Mor­ris USA in Rich­mond, VA where he worked un­til re­tir­ing in 1993 as the Man­ager of Travel and Ser­vices. Dan was ac­tive in church min­istries all his adult life. He worked with sev­eral church spon­sored pro­grams in­clud­ing serv­ing on 17 teams for Cur­sillo, Mar­riage En­counter and En­gaged En­counter. As an ac­tive mem­ber of St Joseph Catholic Church in Peters­burg, VA, he par­tic­i­pated on par­ish coun­sel, RCIA team for 11 years, and the AL­PHA Pro­gram. He joined the Knights of Colum­bus in 1969 and was a char­ter mem­ber of Knights of Colum­bus of C189 in Rich­mond, VA. Dan also stayed very ac­tive in his com­mu­nity as a mem­ber of the HOA and Neigh­bor­hood Watch. He en­joyed fish­ing, hunt­ing, golf­ing, watch­ing the Wash­ing­ton Red­skins, and spend­ing time with friends and fam­ily, es­pe­cially his grand­chil­dren.

Fam­ily will re­ceive friends on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 28, 2018, from 4 pm-7pm at J.T. Mor­riss & Son Fu­neral Home, Peters­burg Chapel, 103 S. Adams St. A Catholic mass will be held in his honor at 11am on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 29, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W. Wash­ing­ton St, Peters­burg, VA.
