PETERSBURG — The Petersburg community will hold a vigil against hate in support of the Jewish community and to mourn the victims of Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This community event will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 201 Walnut Boulevard (next to Woodmere Lake).
The public is invited to attend.
“Please join your neighbors as we meet together in solidarity and peace to support those who experience violence, discrimination and intolerance,” said Rev. Sarah Nave, pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church.
The event will last approximately one hour. It will be held outside by the lake.
“Please dress warmly and bring a chair if you like,” said Rev. Nave.
