PETERS­BURG — The Peters­burg com­mu­nity will hold a vigil against hate in sup­port of the Jewish com­mu­nity and to mourn the vic­tims of Tree of Life Syn­a­gogue in Pitts­burgh, Penn­syl­va­nia. This com­mu­nity event will be held at 4 p.m. on Sun­day, Nov. 4, at Covenant Pres­by­te­rian Church, 201 Wal­nut Boule­vard (next to Wood­mere Lake).

The pub­lic is in­vited to at­tend.

“Please join your neigh­bors as we meet to­gether in sol­i­dar­ity and peace to sup­port those who ex­pe­ri­ence vi­o­lence, dis­crim­i­na­tion and in­tol­er­ance,” said Rev. Sarah Nave, pas­tor, Covenant Pres­by­te­rian Church.

The event will last ap­prox­i­mately one hour. It will be held out­side by the lake.

“Please dress warmly and bring a chair if you like,” said Rev. Nave.
