Our general policy for any letter to the editor: We reserve the right to edit for length, clarity, brevity, spelling and grammar. We will not accept letters that contain abusive or vulgar language, unfounded claims against or personal attacks, including against other letter writers. We will not accept anonymous letters or material not generated by the letter writer, such as campaign fliers, speech excerpts and social-media postings.
