Vir­ginia Lee Cogle, 100, of Prince Ge­orge passed away peace­fully on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 29, 2018. Born on Oc­to­ber 7, 1918, she was the daugh­ter of the late Alexan­der Cogle Sr. and Eva Emory Cogle. She was pre­ceded in death by sis­ters, Clarice Cogle Wil­liams (John), Alma Cogle Chee­ley (Page) and brother Alexan­der Cogle, Jr. (Sarah). She is sur­vived by three nieces, Linda Willing­ham (Jim), Laura Dewell (David) and Doris Pen­ning­ton; three neph­ews, Eu­gene Carl­ton Cogle (Sharon), Wil­liam Daniel Cogle and Thomas Page Chee­ley (Cyn­thia) and many lov­ing great­nieces and neph­ews and great-great-nieces and neph­ews.

Vir­ginia was a grad­u­ate of Dis­putanta High School. She was a long­time em­ployee of Brown and Wil­liamson and a mem­ber of Trin­ity United Methodist Church in Dis­putanta. A memo­rial ser­vice will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tues­day, Jan­uary 8, 2019, at the Colo­nial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Fu­neral Home, 2033 Boule­vard, with a visi­ta­tion one hour prior.
