Clean Community Day

PRINCE GE­ORGE — The Prince Ge­orge Ex­ten­sion Of­fice and Prince Ge­orge County will spon­sor the Prince Ge­orge Clean Community Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Satur­day, April 21, at the Po­lice Depart­ment park­ing lot, 6600 Court­house Road, and at the Prince Ge­orge Con­ve­nience Cen­ter, 3100 Union Branch Road.

The County’s Clean Community Day is held for Prince Ge­orge County res­i­dents to dis­pose of haz­ardous waste, tires, and cer­tain un­wanted items with­out charge. At the Con­ve­nience Cen­ter, the fol­low­ing items will be ac­cepted: White goods (ap­pli­ances, air con­di­tion­ers, freez­ers); yard de­bris (limbs and branches less than 3 inches in di­am­e­ter); and house­hold goods (mat­tresses, bed springs, etc.).

Adopt-A-High­way vol­un­teers will be out on many lo­cal roads pick­ing up lit­ter.

Paper shred­ding will also be avail­able on-site.

This event will be con­ducted rain or shine.
