Mrs. Flo­rence M. Smith of 1127 Floyd St., Peters­burg, Vir­ginia, en­tered into eter­nal rest Sun­day, April 15, 2018, at her res­i­dence sur­rounded by her fam­ily.

Sur­rounded by her lov­ing daugh­ters, Mrs. Eva Mae Parham Walker, 93, of 19011 Shady Lane, Car­son, VA, tran­scended from her Earthly home to her Heav­enly home on Fri­day, April 13, 2018, at her daugh­ters res­i­dence. Eva Mae was born on March 8, 1925, to the late Johnny and Vir­ginia Harvell Parham in Car­son, VA.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; her hus­band, Mr. John S. Walker; eight sib­lings, Hay­ward, Earl, Taft, Frank, Ce­cil, Ken­neth, Lawrence and Leon Parham,;her son-in-law, Samuel Earl Jack­son; a grand­daugh­ter, An­drea Jack­son Trot­ter; and a great­grand­son, DeAn­dre’ Sim­mons.

Eva Mae con­fessed her Love for Christ at an early age and joined Lit­tle Zion Bap­tist Church, Car­son, Vir­ginia.

She leaves to cher­ish her pre­cious memories, three lov­ing and de­voted daugh­ters, Mrs. Melv­ina Sim­mons of N. Din­wid­die, VA, Mrs. Odessa Jack­son and Vi­vian Coles, both of Peters­burg, VA; two sons-in-law, Kaiser Sim­mons and Joseph Coles (Buck); ten grand­chil­dren, de­voted, Tar­rey­ton Walker of Car­son, VA, Alisia W. Lewis (Cur­tis) of N. Din­wid­die, VA, For­les S. Flow­ers (Mark) of Peters­burg, VA, Shel­cee S. Par­ris (Nay) of N. Din­wid­die, VA, Ar­lene Sim­mons of N. Din­wid­die, Al­ton Coles of N. Din­wid­die, de­voted, Daphne Walker (Dee Dee) of Peters­burg, Shelby Coles of Peters­burg, Dominick Jack­son (Mar­sha) of Prince Ge­orge and Vonetta Jack­son of Peters­burg; 23 great grand­chil­dren, 32 great great grand­chil­dren, a de­voted great grand­son, Javonte Coles of Peters­burg, a host of nieces and neph­ews, de­voted, Wil­liam Ce­cil Parham, Jr. (Mar­garet) of Car­son, cousins, other rel­a­tives and friends too nu­mer­ous to name and the Lit­tle Zion Bap­tist Church Fam­ily, Car­son.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life will be con­ducted 2 PM, Wed­nes­day, April 18, 2018, at Lit­tle Zion Bap­tist Church, Car­son with the Pas­tor Rev. Dr. Dar­ren T. Bran­don, of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low in Harvell Fam­ily Ceme­tery, Shady Lane, Car­son. Fu­neral ser­vices have been en­trusted to the pro­fes­sional staff of the Peters­burg ChapelJoseph M. Nor­man S. White, 93, of Ch­ester, Va., de­parted this life April 12, 2018, at Chip­pen­ham Med­i­cal Cen­ter. He was pre­ceded in death by his lov­ing wife of many years, Gertrude J. White; daugh­ter, Ar­lene Hen­der­son; seven sis­ters; and one brother.

Nor­man leaves to cher­ish his mem­ory his grand­chil­dren, nieces, neph­ews and friends, among them de­voted nephew, Clarence White Sr. (Mary).

Re­mains rest at Mimms Fu­neral Home, 1827 Hull Street. Fu­neral ser­vice will be Wed­nes­day, April 18, 2018, at Cal­vary Tem­ple Church, 110 N. Dunlop Street, at 12 p.m. Apos­tle Wes­ley Tay­lor of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment Sun­set Memo­rial Park.
