“Let’s Chalk About it”

PETERS­BURG — James House is host­ing “Let’s Chalk About It” as part of Fri­day for the Arts! on Oct. 12, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at James House Peters­burg of­fice, 229 N. Sy­camore St. Come out and join with other com­mu­nity mem­bers to cre­ate fun, com­pelling, ex­cit­ing side­walk art cel­e­brat­ing healthy re­la­tion­ships of all kinds. Wise Pro­duk­tionz, Street Dreams Act­ing Camp act­ing work­shop

PETERS­BURG — Wise Pro­duk­tionz, Street Dreams Act­ing Camp is con­duct­ing an act­ing work­shop for ages 15 – adults taught by Mia Speight, ac­tress and act­ing coach on HBO, TV One and ID. Mia has her BFA in theater from Shenan­doah Uni­ver­sity in Winch­ester. She’s also had train­ing in in­dus­trial, clas­si­cal scene study and Shake­speare fes­ti­val. Her ex­pe­ri­ence in the in­dus­try ranges from voiceover, tele­vi­sion, com­mer­cial, fea­ture/short films, theater, and stock.

The work­shop will be con­ducted at Vir­ginia State Uni­ver­sity in Fos­ter Hall room 200 on Oct. 27 from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Bring your mono­logue if you want it to be cri­tiqued. Lunch will be pro­vided. The event is spon­sored by Most Amaze En­ter­tain­ment. The spe­cial guest will be Cicely Carter of CcMe Health & Beauty Bar to dis­cuss skin­care.
