Historic Hopewell Foundation hosts 10th annual auction
HOPEWELL — On Saturday, Nov. 3, the Historic Hopewell Foundation will host an auction to raise money for the historic Weston Manor, St. Dennis Chapel, and other sites around Hopewell. This year marks the 10th year of these festivities.
The auction will take place at Guncotton Coffee and Gallery,238 E. Broadway Ave. in downtown Hopewell at 5 p.m.
The new business served as the venue last year, featuring festive decor, drinks available for buyers and an elegant dinner.
There were many items available for purchase, in both the silent and live auction, and a game of “Heads or Tails” where the winner won jewelry. In one room items such as trips, clothes, glasses, paintings, jewelry, housewares, pies and others were on display. Items from last year’s live auction included more paintings, jewelry, trips, a plasma TV, and more.
