Ms. An­ge­line Par­rish Jones of Peters­burg, Vir­ginia, de­parted from this life on Mon­day, Novem­ber 5, 2018, sur­rounded by her beau­ti­ful daugh­ters and dear friends.

She was born in Hen­der­son, North Carolina, to late Henry and Thelma Par­rish on Fe­bru­ary 1, 1946. They then re­lo­cated to Ch­ester­field, Vir­ginia where An­ge­line and her 9 sib­lings grew up.

As an adult, An­ge­line, mar­ried the late Joseph (Joe Joe) Drum­goole and they raised their el­dest daugh­ter Yolanda Drum­goole Robin­son in Ch­ester­field. They then re­lo­cated to Peters­burg, Vir­ginia were An­ge­line worked full­time for Tit­mus Op­ti­cal and part time with the Peters­burg Pub­lic School Sys­tems Cafe­te­ria De­part­ment for over 15 years. She then tran­si­tioned to Sola Op­ti­cal where she worked for over 20 plus years and re­tired. She raised her youngest daugh­ter Jewel Sh­effield in the lat­ter years of her adult­hood.

An­ge­line Jones was in­tro­duce to the truth of Je­ho­vah’s Wit­nesses in the mid-80’s. She was a mem­ber of the Cen­tral Park Con­gre­ga­tion where she served in the pioneer school of Je­ho­vah’s Wit­nesses. She was bap­tized on Jan­uary 10, 1998, and con­tin­ued serv­ing Je­ho­vah un­til the last day of her life.

An­ge­line is pre­ceded in death by her mother and fa­ther, Henry and Thelma Par­rish; her four brothers, Charles Par­rish, Eu­gene Par­rish, Robert ‘Mar­shall’ Par­rish and Larry Par­rish; one sis­ter, Ad­die Par­rish Jones; niece, Charlisa N. Par­rish; and a de­voted friend, Lynn Saun­ders.

She leaves be­hind her two brothers, Henry Par­rish, Jr. (Bar­bara), and Michael Par­rish (Karen); two sis­ters, Carolyn Par­rish and Laverne Thomas; daugh­ters, Yolanda Drum­goole Robin­son (Marc) and Jewel Sh­effield; two grand­sons, Da’Quon Gre­gory and Xavier Robin­son; hon­orary chil­dren, Kather­ine Barnes, Joseph Wil­liams (Candy), Ne­riah and Amir Wil­liams, Monique Hunter, Joseph Walker, Eric Har­ri­son (Denise); de­voted and loyal cousin and con­fi­dent, Mary ‘Sista’ Byrd; de­voted nephew, Per­cell Par­rish (Ter­rah); and a host of nieces, neph­ews; close friends, Lula Glenn, Catina Peter-Ince, Linda Jones, Gale Hunter, and An­drew Lyons.

Our fam­ily wishes to ex­tend our warmest grat­i­tude to her home care aides Sharon Smith, Earnest Nai, Rosetta Holley, Bev­erly Ken­ney, Quan­tisha Chris­tian, Cyn­thia Far­rah, and Tracy Ad­kins. As well as those whom have cared for her in the last 10 years. We would also like to say a spe­cial thank you to Wayne Pre­bor, Ig­mara Prunier, Malaika Man­son, Jor­dan Dami­ano, Rhonda JonesLam­bert, Char­lene Tyler, Jizelle Baez, Diane Cobb, and El­wood Bell and all other staff mem­bers and par­tic­i­pants of In­no­vage Richmond Pace Cen­ter. We also would like to thank the great staff at VCU/ MCV Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Saint Fran­cis, the res­cue staff of Ch­ester­field County, Right at Home, and Care Ad­van­tage.

While this is a dif­fi­cult time for our fam­ily, we would like to thank you all for the lovely cards, kind words, phone calls, visits, food and any other con­sol­ing ges­tures dur­ing this time of be­reave­ment.

May Je­ho­vah God con­tinue to bless and keep you all.

Ser­vices will be held 2:30 P.M., Satur­day, Novem­ber 10, 2018, at King­dom Hall-Je­ho­vah’s Wit­nesses, 575 Old Wag­ner Road, Prince Ge­orge, VA. The in­ter­ment will be pri­vate.
