Foot & An­kle Cen­ter ex­pands

PRINCE GE­ORGE — The Foot & An­kle Cen­ter (FAAC) re­cently an­nounced the open­ing of a new of­fice in Prince Ge­orge County and the hir­ing of a new po­di­a­trist, Dr. Sa­gar Shah, who is ac­cept­ing new pa­tients at the Prince Ge­orge lo­ca­tion. The new of­fice is lo­cated at 4730 Pud­dle­dock Road.

“Since we joined forces with Foot & An­kle Spe­cial­ists of the MidAt­lantic (FASMA) a year ago ..., we have been grow­ing like gang­busters. This is the sec­ond new doc­tor we have hired in 2018 and we have just opened our sec­ond lo­ca­tion, all to meet pa­tient de­mand and to bet­ter serve the Tri-Cities area,” said Mitchell Waskin, DPM, and founder, FAAC. “For years, pa­tients have been trav­el­ing from the Tri-Cities and be­yond to see us. We are ex­cited to be­come a part of the grow­ing med­i­cal com­mu­nity in Prince Ge­orge.”

The Foot & An­kle Cen­ter of­fers com­pre­hen­sive care for or­tho­pe­dic foot and an­kle prob­lems, di­a­betic foot prob­lems and nail prob­lems. The main of­fice is lo­cated on the cam­pus of John­ston-Wil­lis Hos­pi­tal. At FAAC Prince Ge­orge, Dr. Shah will pro­vide com­plete po­di­atric care for all ages, with spe­cial ex­per­tise in re­con­struc­tive foot surgery, sports medicine, wound care and di­a­betic foot care. Dr. Shah will be af­fil­i­ated with CJW Med­i­cal Cen­ter (Chip­pen­ham and John­ston Wil­lis Hospi­tals), John Ran­dolph Med­i­cal Cen­ter in the Hopewell/Colo­nial Heights area, and St. Fran­cis Med­i­cal Cen­ter.
