Ky’mon Pope earns Re­gion 4B hon­ors on of­fense; Din­wid­die play­ers make First Team All-Re­gion

DIN­WID­DIE Din­wid­die Foot­ball se­nior quar­ter­back Ky'mon Pope was named the Re­gion 4B Of­fen­sive Player of the Year, Din­wid­die Foot­ball an­nounced via so­cial me­dia on Sun­day. Pope led a young and tal­ented Gen­er­als team to the third round of the re­gional play­offs and a fi­nal record of 11-2.

Pope in 2018 had 164 car­ries for 1,223 rush­ing yards and a team-lead­ing 23 touch­downs for 7.5 yards per carry and 94.1 yards per game. Pope also com­pleted 108 of 199 passes for 1,745 yards and 15 touch­downs against eight in­ter­cep­tions with a long of 61 yards.

On de­fense, Pope led his Gen­er­als with five in­ter­cep­tions and scored one touch­down on a pick-six.

Pope was among sev­eral Din­wid­die Foot­ball play­ers to make First Team All-Re­gion on the Re­gion 4B team, with

Pope be­ing named to First Team for quar­ter­back. Also earn­ing hon­ors from Din­wid­die were Ja­cob Ed­wards (of­fen­sive tackle and de­fen­sive line­man), Cedric Drum­goole

(tight end) and Trey Reese (wide re­ceiver). Mak­ing Sec­ond Team All-Re­gion from Din­wid­die were Robert Bar­low (de­fen­sive back and kick re­turner), Tyre Dal­ton (run­ning back), Cirdale Lucess (kick re­turner), An­to­nio Tucker (de­fen­sive end), Dy­lan Moore (line­backer) and Pope (de­fen­sive back).


Din­wid­die Foot­ball’s Ky’mon “Peety” Pope (#10) was named the Re­gion 4B Of­fen­sive Player of the Year.
