Vickie L. Waltman, 64

Vickie L. Waltman, 64, of New Bethlehem, formally of Punxsutawney, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, surrounded by family.

She was born Dec. 15, 1957, to Robert and Mary (Price) Wright in Spangler.

Vickie was a foster parent for many years, but before that, she was a certified nursing assistant.

Vickie married her best friend, David O. Waltman, on June 23, 1984. Vickie was a fan of the Steelers, and loved crocheting, gardening, hummingbirds and spending time with her family as often as possible.

She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Waltman, Punxsutawney, and Carrie and Brian Snyder, Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Waltman, Mason Synder and Brady Snyder; three sisters, Ginger and Don Felgar, Penny Delucia, and Cindy and Howie Tapper; two brothers, Mike and Gina Wright and Randy and Kathy Wright; sister-inlaw Carol and Ted Wells; brothers-in-laws Robert and Doreen Waltman, John Waltman, Ralph Waltman, and George and Mary Waltman; and numerous nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Waltman; her mother and father-inlaw, Sophie and Ralph Waltman; her sister and brother-in-law, Anna Mae and Jerry Pierce; her sisters-in-law, Leticia “Laddie” Waltman and Charlene Waltman; and nephew William “Bill” Waltman.

Friends and family will be welcomed on Friday, May 6, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m. with Pastor James officiating.
