PSP-Punxsy

• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 4:07 p.m. April 19 on Allegheny Boulevard in Brookville. A 2013 Subaru Forester struck a 2017 Ram 2500 head-on while trying to make a left turn. Both drivers were transporte­d for medical treatment, the first with suspected serious injuries and the second with suspected minor injuries. The driver of the first vehicle was cited.

• Police responded to a burglary at 11:25 a.m. April 30 on Himes Drive in McCalmont Township, Jefferson County. A known suspect allegedly smashed a window and kicked in the door of a residence, then fled the scene prior to police arrival. She was later located and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.

Punxsy borough police recently responded to the following incidents:

• March 1, North Main Street: Criminal mischief, harassment.

• March 12, North Findley Street: Absence without leave.

• March 25, South Gilpin Street: DUI (controlled substance), traffic violations.

• April 3, Pleasant Alley: Disorderly conduct, public drunkennes­s, use of or possession with intent to use drug parapherna­lia, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

• April 11, Tiona Street: Resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehensi­on, disorderly conduct.

• April 12, North Findley Street: Theft by unlawful taking; theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake; receiving stolen property.

• April 23, Elk Run Avenue: Burglary, criminal trespass, defiant trespass.

• April 27, Church Street: Harassment.

• April 27, East Mahoning Street: Firearms not to be carried without a license, DUI (controlled substance), possessing a controlled substance, drivers required to be licensed.

• May 3, Sycamore Street: Criminal mischief.

PSP-DuBois

• Police are investigat­ing a theft between noon April 18 and 11:30 a.m. April 19 on Route 28 in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County. Actor(s) gained access to the victim’s personal computer and informed her that her Norton Security system had expired. Actor(s) then requested the victim to transfer them $9,800. The victim subsequent­ly completed a wire transfer in that amount. The transfer was found to be linked to a bank account in Birmingham, Alabama.
