Thelma Jean Adams, 77, of Walston, passed away Feb. 21, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1946, in Kittanning, the daughter of the late Clair Paul Glenn and Alma Ruth (Stivason) Glenn. On June 19, 1971, she married the love of her life, Samuel Meigs Adams, who survives.

During Thelma’s career, she worked at a variety of places including Rola, Fashon Bug, Bilo and Walmart. She retired from Kittanning Hospital in the dietary department.

She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren.

Thelma is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Samuel Adams; a daughter, Jennifer McCall and husband John of Clarion and a son, Shawn Adams of Walston; two grandchild­ren, Megan Troup and husband Bill of Carrie, Oklahoma, and Alicia Kanouff of Brockway; three greatgrand­children, Finley Troup, Zaiden Troup and Mackston Troup; four sisters, Janet Grantz and husband Gene of Delaware, Judy Kunkle of Ford City, Mary Sell of Sunnyside, and Margaret Pace and husband Daniel of Castleberr­y, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by an infant brother, William Glenn, and infant sister, Joann Glenn, and a sister, Shirley Smith.

In accordance with Thelma’s wishes, there will be no service.
