• Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 8:13 p.m. March 18 on Patchin Highway in Burnside Township, Clearfield County. A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado went out of its lane of travel and struck a guiderail. No injuries were reported. The driver is suspected of DUI. The investigation is ongoing.
• Police responded to a report of criminal trespass at 8:40 a.m. March 23 on Lenyok Road in Young Township, Jefferson County. The suspect reportedly returned to the property after being asked to leave.
• Police observed a known woman in a motor vehicle who was known to have a suspended driver’s license at 6:12 p.m. March 22 on West Mahoning Street in Punxsutawney. It was also learned that she had active warrants out of Jefferson and Clearfield counties. She was taken into custody. She is also suspected of DUI; that investigation is ongoing.
• Police responded to a report of retail theft at 12:44 a.m. March 21 on Route 119 in Young Township, Jefferson County. The suspect reportedly placed several items in her purse and attempted to leave without paying. Charges were filed.
• Police are investigating a report of a firearms violation at 3:02 p.m. March 18 on Saint Jacobs Church Road in Perry Township, Jefferson County.
• Police are investigating a report of a possible theft at 1:12 p.m. March 15 on Thompson Town Road in Chest Township, Clearfield County. A propane tank valued at $250 is missing.
• Police responded to a report of domestic assault at 10 p.m. Feb. 24 on Clover Run Road in Bell Township, Clearfield County. The suspect reportedly assaulted another person, causing injuries. He was charged with strangulation, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and recklessly endangering another person. He was placed in the Clearfield County Jail, pending arraignment.
