Carol Leroy “Toots” (Wingert) Senior, 80, of Falls Creek, passed away surrounded by family members on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born on Aug. 6, 1943, at home in Big Run, a daughter of the late Paul Otis Wingert and Emma Elizabeth (Jones) Wingert.

“Toots” was a 1961 graduate of Punxsutawn­ey Area High School.

On Sept. 26, 1964, she married Alan Hugh Senior. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2020.

She and her husband Alan formerly owned S.W. Triumph in Falls Creek. They loved to ride motorcycle­s after they were done working on the weekends. “Toots” had her own Triumph and could ride with the best of them.

She was an excellent seamstress and could sew anything with perfection. She enjoyed going out to eat, shopping and relaxing at home with her cats.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Elizabeth Marie Senior of Seviervill­e, Tennessee, and Audrey Gale Senior of Falls Creek; one granddaugh­ter, Emily Elizabeth Senior; one great-grandchild, Kayson Senior; and one sister, Cathy (WingertSon­es) Lovelace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alan; and four brothers, Robert, William, Thomas and James Wingert.

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Doug Wolfe.

Interment will be at McClure Cemetery, Big Run.
