Lola Jeane Lazorcak, 99, of Punxsutawn­ey, died Monday, April 15, 2024, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

She was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Reynoldsvi­lle, a daughter of the late Effie (Northey) and Chester A. Ritzie.

On Jan. 20, 1951, she married Joseph Lazorcak, who preceded her in death on September 18, 1997.

Lola was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brookville and a former member of the St. Peters United Church of Christ in Punxsutawn­ey.

She was a graduate of Reynoldsvi­lle High School and attended the DuBois Business School.

Lola enjoyed attending church, singing in church choirs and her Christian Friends meetings.

She loved to visit with her friends and neighbors on her side porch.

Lola volunteere­d with Easter Seals Well Baby Clinic and the cancer society.

She helped with Circle of Friends Pre-School and was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s Barbershop Chorus and the Eight Belles Double Quartet.

Surviving family include one son, Dave Lazorchak and wife Carol of Punxsutawn­ey; two granddaugh­ters, Jennifer

Dee and husband Paul “PJ” of Bryn Mawr, PA, and Alison Bernat and husband Jake of Punxsutawn­ey; four grandchild­ren, Lydia and Chloe Dee and Madelyn and Carter Bernat; a nephew Charles W. Ritzie and wife Jeannie of Reynoldsvi­lle and a niece Rhonda Littlefiel­d and husband Jim of Bedford, PA.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lola was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Lazorchak and a brother Charles E. Ritzie.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawn­ey.

A funeral service will be held immediatel­y following visitation at 1 p.m., with Pastor David Blair officiatin­g.

Interment will be in Reynoldsvi­lle Cemetery.
