Over the past 17 years, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering has grown into one of the world's most prestigious automotive events. From its truly incomparable selection of cars on display to the stunning scenery at the foot of the Santa Lucia mountains, the refined luxury vendors, once-in-a-lifetime exotic car driving opportunities and sumptuous artisanal cuisine, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering has earned its place at the top of the world-famous Monterey Car Week. The food in particular is considered the finest anywhere in Monterey, both for its variety and quality.

This year's culinary pavilions will showcase the specialties of famous roads and their regions; including Road to Hana in Hawaii, Pacific Coast Highway in California, Atlantic Road in Norway, Ruta 40 in Argentina, Guoliang in China and a special feature presented by BMW highlighting Spartanburg in South Carolina. No matter how sophisticated one's palate, there will be something to satisfy them here. The gelato stands, artisanal cocktails and extraordinary wines are the icing on the cake.

The event attracts the most sporting, driver-oriented field of Monterey Car Week and the display classes represent the finest cars of their type, curated with an eye toward design, performance and accurate historic preservation.

The Quail has had a long and celebrated partnership with fine auction house Bonhams, and the Bonhams Monterey auction is held on the grounds concurrently with the show. The excitement of the bidding wars adds an electricity to the tranquil lawns of the event, keeping spirits lively throughout.

Not only does The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering showcase some of the world's finest automobiles, but the event is a haven for leading lights of the automotive community. On event day, one might meet personalities from all manner of car-related businesses as well as some of the world's greatest collectors, current and past racing drivers, media and entertainment stars who are also car enthusiasts. In addition to the usual classes, there will be special displays this year of “100 Years of Bentley Motors,” “25th Anniversary of the McLaren F1” and “A Tribute to the Electric Car Movement.”
