SUMMER SING: The Berkshire Concert Choir will host the third of a series of four Summer Sings on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Zion Lutheran Church, 74First St., Pittsfield, Mass., from 7to 9p.m. They are led by the choir’s artistic director Paula Nuss, and accompanie­d by pianist Lee Dixon. WHITNEY YOUNG OPEN HOUSE: For 10years, Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center has provided access to affordable health services in Troy. On Tuesday, Aug. 11, Whitney Young Health will join hundreds of community health center organizati­ons across the country during National Health Center week in celebratin­g community health centers’ role in improving the health of millions of Americans. State and county officials, along with CEO David Shippee, will unveil Whitney Young Health’s plans to expand services to those with limited access to primary medical, dental and behavioral health care. WASHINGTON PARK FREE CONCERT: After nearly a decade without the popular summer concert events in Albany’s Washington Park, Park Playhouse plans to revive the Monday Music series in coming years, starting with a stand-alone event on Monday, Aug. 17. The concert, scheduled to run from 6to 9p.m., will feature the popular local genre-blending funk band Conehead Buddha. Victory Soul Orchestra, a soul/funk band based out of Albany, will play the opening set. All seating, including the reserved seating area on ground level, will be free of charge for this special event.
