BALLSTON SPA - Marion A. Richardson Daubney, 93, formerly of Waterford, passed away Sunday, February 7, at Saratoga Center for Rehab and Skilled Nursing Care.

Born and educated in Ticonderog­a, NY, she was daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Hall Richardson and husband of the late William J. Daubney.

Marion was a 1940 graduate of Ticonderog­a High School and moved to Waterford in her youth living there for the majority of her life. Marion was employed as a lunch monitor for the Waterford-Halfmoon School for ten years. In September of 1991, after thethe passing of her husband Bill, who at that time was the Waterford Town Supervisor, Marion was then appointed the first female Supervisor of the Town of Waterford to finish out her husband’s term, from September 1991 to December of 1991. Marion was a former den mother for Cub Scout Pack 632 in Waterford for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church Altar Society, Waterford Lions Club and was the former director of the Waterford Senior Citizens. Marion also volunteere­d at the Waterford Visitors/Harbor Center for many years. She was a communican­t of St Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Waterford.

Survivors include one daughter Mary (Edward) Pearson of Clifton Park, five sons William Jr. (Beverly) of Rochester, NY, Peter (Michele) of Clearwater, FL, Charles (Lee) of San Diego, CA, Richard (Claudia) of Hadley, NY and Thomas (Dawn) of Waterford, NY. She was predecease­d by her infant son Jimmy. She was sister of the late George Richardson and Harriet Wallace. Also survived by twelve grandchild­ren, 10 great-grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday 9 am from the Philip J Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad Street (Rte. 32) Waterford and at 9:30 am at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Waterford.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm.
