EVERETT WAGAR SENIOR CENTER: 2Roxborough Road, Grafton. On Tuesday February 9, the Nutrition Department will hold its monthly special dinner at noon. This month’s theme will be “Fat Tuesday,” with a menu of Cajun Baked Chicken Breast, Confetti Rice, Glazed Whole Baby Carrots, Whole Wheat Bread, Grape Juice and King Cake for dessert. Entertainment will begin at 12:30p.m. with Bob Treffiletti. SPEIGLE ELDERS: The Speigle Elders hold their first meeting of 2016at 12:30p.m. on February 10with refreshments of coffee and hot cross buns for Ash Wednesday. With the exception of holiday and weather scheduling, the club meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Faith Lutheran Church on Route 40, with speakers and special events scheduled on a monthly basis. A recent planning session discussed a tentative calendar for the upcoming year including trips to the Amishland in Pennsylvania, the MacHaydn Theater, and the Racino at Saratoga in September; an inhouse Italian luncheon, an Ice Cream Social, lunch at the Red Lion Inn with a visit to Norman Rockwell Museum, as well as luncheons at area restaurants.
