TROY - James H. Busher, of Lansingbur­gh, passed away on May 12, 2016 at the Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Pleasantda­le he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret Lynch Busher and the devoted husband of Marie Foley Busher of Lansingbur­gh.

Mr. Busher was a ate of Lansingbur­gh High School and was retired from NYS Office of General Services. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran, a POW and received two Purple Hearts. He served as the Commander of the Northeast NY Chapter of Korean War Veterans Associatio­n. While serving in that office, Jim plished a very big goal by having Hoosick Street (Route 7) in Troy dedicated as the Rensselaer County Korean War Veterans morial Highway.

Jim was a proud of the Brunswick Lodge of Elks No. 2556 and a former member of the Pleasantda­le Fire Department.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 35 years include daughters, Kathleen Connors (Joseph) of Clifton Park, Nancy Busher of Cohoes, Marie Carroll of Wachee, Watervliet and Jamie Phillips (Mark) of Weeki FL., step children, Patrick Boland (Sandra) of ton Park, Bridget Enderle (Charles) of Sand Lake and Maureen Lindell (Ronald) of Ballston Spa, grandchild­ren, Kristen Beck (Keith), Joseph Connors Jr. ron), Rebecca Shevy (Eric), Sarah McComber (Steve), Tracy Busher, Amy Jewett (Josh) and Ashley Carroll, step grandchild­ren, Patrick Boland Jr., Paul Boland, Jessica Alexander Enderle, Cassiana Enderle, Christina Lindell, Nicholas Lindell and sica Lindell. Also survived by ten great-grandchild­ren four step great grandchild­ren and nieces and nephews

Jim was predecease­d by his sister, Dorothy Paquette and brothers, William and Charles Busher.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am from the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home 870 Second Ave. (124th & 125th Streets) in Lansingbur­gh. Friends are invited and may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 pm. The interment with full military honors be in the Gerald BH Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylervi­lle at 12:30 pm.
