Troy softball sweeps twin bill
TROY 12, ATHENS (PA) 1 >> Hunter Levesque tossed a complete game two-hitter in Troy softball’s 12-1 win over Athens (Pa.) on Saturday. Levesque struck out eight in just six innings, while surrendering just two walks.
At the plate, Allison Discanio homered and finished with four RBIs. Destiny Wierzbicki had three RBIs, while Natalie Stoner and Levesque both drove in a pair.
Troy had 16 hits in the game. TROY 11, LI-LUTHERAN 4 >> Hunter Levesque and Destiny Wierzbicki both had four hits apiece in Troy’s 11-4 win over Long Island Lutheran on Saturday.
Levesque was 4-for-5 with a homer, three doubles, four runs and four RBIs for the Flying Horses. Wierzbicki singled three times, doubled and scored three times. Kaitlyn DelSignore was 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs and a run.

HOLY NAMES 18, WATERVLIET 3 >> Megan Scott had four RBIs in Holy Names’ 18-3 win over Watervliet on Saturday. Sophie Bil-
lie recorded three hits for Holy Names.
Watervliet was led by Makayla Darmetko and Lauren Zakrzewski, who both doubled.

ROTTERDAM >> Several local athletes had top performances at the Futures competition held at Mohonasen High School on Friday.
Mohonasen’s Emma Sinisgalli finished first in the girls 800 meter and 1,500 meter runs. She clocked a time of 2 minutes, 24.99 seconds in the 800 and registered a
5:05.40 in the 1,500. Mohon boys runner Kaleb Fretto earned first place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.88 seconds and won the 100 meter dash with a mark of 11.60 seconds. Green Tech’s Gracia Selevangidio won the boys Long Jump and Triple Jump events.
