ELMONT >> The New York Racing Association announced the creation of an online platform called NYRA Bets that will take the place of its current online advance deposit wagering platform called NYRA Rewards. The new application will be available in July to coincide with the 2016 meet at Saratoga Race Course. While NYRA Rewards was restricted to residents of New York State, NYRA Bets will be open to horseplayers across the country. Current NYRA Rewards customers will be seamlessly transitioned to the new platform.

This brand transition will take place in the coming days and weeks, and customers will begin noticing these changes with the launch of the new Belmont LIVE show on MSG+ beginning on Wednesday, May 18.

“NYRA Bets will be a premier ADW enhanced by our partnership with GBE Technologies, a recognized global leader in online wagering solutions,” NYRA CEO and President Chris Kay said. “We look forward to providing horseplayers across the country with access to the industry’s finest racing and most advanced technology.”

Tony Allevato was hired as the President of NYRA Bets and Executive Producer for NYRA television.

Allevato was the first production hire at TVG, and spent 14 years at the nation’s leading ADW and racing channel as executive vice president and executive producer. Most recently, Allevato was the Coordinating Producer for NFL Network’s flagship program, NFL Total Access, and oversaw nearly 400 hours of coverage annually.

NYRA Bets will continue to offer rewards, instant signup, free funding options, express funding, no wagering transactions fees and three convenient ways to wager: on-track, online or via a mobile device.
