Troy land bank to showcase properties

-

TROY, N.Y. » The Troy Community Land Bank will offer presentations and tours of three recently rehabilitated buildings over the next two weekends.

The properties — at 48 Ida St., 822 River St. and 3319 6th Ave. — are being marketed for sale through the land bank’s website at www.troycommunitylandbank.org, and the group will be offering presentations of the properties, and the process by which they can be acquired on Friday, as well as Sunday, June 11, and Saturday, June 17.

“These buildings represent the next wave of our efforts to return vacant and abandoned properties to productive use,” said Joe Fama, executive director of the organization. “As we look ahead to the rest of 2017, the land bank plans on stabilizing and marketing another half-dozen buildings as part of our continued efforts to stabilize Troy’s North Central neighborhood.”

The presentations will be followed by open house walkthroughs at the Ida Street and 6th Avenue buildings, while the River Street property will be available for exterior examination only.

Times and locations of the presentations will be posted on the land bank’s website, as well as its Facebook page at www. facebook.com/TroyNYLandBank and the city’s website at www.troyny.gov. Anyone interested in acquiring a land bank property can contact the group by phone at 328-0244 or email at info@troycommunitylandbank.org.
