TROY - Patricia A. Smith, 84, passed away August 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy and a life long resident, she was the daughter of the late Dan Daniel and Mary ( O’Brien) Keenan, granddaugh­ter of the late William and Bess O’Brien and wife of the late Robert S. Smith. A graduate of Catholic Cen - tral High School, Pat had been employed at the for - mer Denby’s Department Store in Troy. She had been a member of the Sycaway Seniors and a parishione­r of Our Lady of Victory Church. Pat’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren. She was always smiling and kept a positive attitude.

Pat is survived by three sons, Robert ( Linda) Smith of Scotia, Stephen ( Diane) Smith of Poughkeeps­ie and Scott Smith of Troy; seven grandchild­ren, andchildre­n, ChristoSmi­th;Christo pher ( Janeen) Smith, Brian ( Malaina) Smith, David Smith ( Amanda Young), Daniel Smith ( Meagan Bowker), Amanda Smith, Jason Smith and Kaitlyn three great grand - children, Ellie Smith, Grayson Smith and Airicka Garnere; sisters- in- law, Nancy Keenan and Elea - nor Smith; and several nephews, nieces and cous - ins. She was predecease­d by her brother, Lawrence Keenan and by other rela - tives.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Kr Kristen Santos and the staff of Community Hospice of Rensselaer County for their special care and loving attention, especially Penny, y, Sandy and Jamie.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 29th at 11: 00 a. m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Ave., Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Inter - ment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church Tuesday from 10 until 11 a. m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to Commu - nity Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
