HOPKINS FOREST FALL FESTIVAL: Local residents are invited to the annual Fall Festival at the Hopkins Forest in Williamsto­wn MA on Saturday, September 30, from noon to 3p. m. TRACTOR SHOW: The major focus of the 5th annual Walter A. Wood Tractor and Agricultur­al Show is on antique and older tractors, but modern equipment is welcome, too. ALBANY INSTITUTE: On Sunday, October 1at 2p. m., Elizabeth Kornhauser, the Alice Pratt Brown Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture at the Metropolit­an Museum of Art, will give a special lecture on Thomas Cole’s Transatlan­tic Career at the Albany Institute of History & Art. Her talk explains how the Met’s upcoming exhibition, “Thomas Cole’s Journey: Atlantic Crossings,” will establish Cole as a major 19th century artist within a global context.

This lecture is open to the public and included with museum admission.
