TROY - Robert J. Kiley, 74, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at St. Peter’s Hos - pital after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Troy, he was son of the late James Edward Kiley and Mary M. Dewan Kiley and husband for 49 years of the late Ag - nes M. LeFevre Kiley, who died in January of 2016. He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School.
Mr. Kiley was employed from 1974- 2000 for Niagara Mohawk and National Grid and from 2000 - 2005 for PSEG in Glenmont as a steam plant operator. He also worked as an Iron - Worker for 10 years with Local 12 in Albany and was a member of IBEW electri - cians union.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy and a member of the American Legion. He loved spending time with his children and grandchil - dren. He was a US Army veteran stationed in Ger - many and a member of the Presidential Honor Guard.
Survivors include five sons, James R. Kiley, Troy, Sean M. ( Kate Murnane) Kiley, Troy, Daniel P. ( Amy) Kiley, Troy, Robert J. ( Lisa Repecki) Kiley, Jr. and Shane T. ( Oriana Carra - vetta) Kiley, Albany; four grandchildren, Aidan, Brynn, Nicholas and So - phia Kiley; a sister- in- law, Claire Kiley, Troy and sev - eral nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William Kiley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10: 30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy 475 Pawling Av - enue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Yanas, Pastor.
Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Troy.
