HAMPTON, VA >> The first game of the day was against La Salle, where UAlbany sophomore Kelly Barkevich (Shenendeho­wa) hit a home run in the bottom of the second inning. The score remained 1-0until the bottom of the fourth inning when Barkevich and Sarah Petzold had backto-back RBIs, bringing the lead up to three runs. In the bottom of the fifth, Amelia Ely scored the fourth run for the Great Danes. La Salle was able to rally in the top of the seventh inning, leveling the score 4-4and bringing the game into extra innings. UAlbany won in the bottom of the eighth when Barkevich singled to right field, allowing Aliyah Wade to score.

The second game started out with UAlbany and Hampton each scoring one run in the first inning. The score remained 1-1until the sixth inning when UAlbany scored six additional runs. Kelly Spear and Sarah Petzold each had three RBIs against Hampton. The game ended 7-1in the sixth inning. Aliyah Wade scored the winning run against La Salle in the eighth inning when Kelly Spear singled to right field. Barkevich and Sarah Petzold hit back-to-back RBIs against La Salle in the bottom of the fourth inning, bringing the lead up to three runs. UAlbany scored six runs in the sixth inning against Hampton. She is ninth in points on the Gator career list, while Sperl is now seventh in points having moved ahead of Mallory Hansen (2013-2014, 41 points). Sperl has 42career points on 39goals and three assists.
