IRISH SODA BREAD: On Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m., Amy Halloran, author of “The New Bread Basket,” will be at the Troy Public Library, 100Second Street, to give an Irish Soda Bread baking demonstration. Participants will put together a mix and batter using whole grain store ground flour, and you will taste the difference in the finished loaf. at the Vista at Van Patten Golf Course will benefit the Clifton Park Nursery School, a non-profit, cooperative preschool housed in a historic one room schoolhouse. The Clifton Park Nursery School has been offering play-based education for preschool-age children since 1960.
