WOFFORD 13, SIENA 8 » Wofford scored 11unanswer­ed runs over its final two at-bats to complete the series sweep and stun Siena Baseball 13-8in Spartanbur­g, South Carolina. Sophomore Jonathan Crimmin crushed a grand slam and junior Matt Hamel (Gansevoort/Christian Brothers Academy) added a three-run homer for the Saints, which matched their season-high in scoring.

Hamel went 2-for-2for Siena with a run scored and drove in three runs with his second round-tripper of the year. Sophomore pitcher Danny Hobbs (Saratoga Springs/ Saratoga Springs H.S.) came on to pitch two-thirds of an inning for the Saints. The righty gave up two runs on three hits. He didn’t walk a batter.

Siena returns to the Northeast for the first time in 2018 when they travel to ACC foe Boston College for a 3p.m. first pitch Wednesday. WOFFORD 12, SIENA 6 » In Saturday nightcap, Wofford put up crooked numbers in the middle three innings for the win.
