Arrests made in recent string of robberies
STILLWATER, N.Y. » Authorities said multiple people have been arrested in connection with recent robberies in Saratoga County.
Stillwater police said officers responded to a robbery in progress call at the Mobil Mart located on Hudson Avenue on Friday at 9:34 p.m.
The individuals had fled prior to the officers arriving, police said.
However, a suspect vehicle occupied by three individuals was located in the Price Chopper parking lot by Mechanicville police officers.
The three individuals — Christopher Hutchins, 25, of Porters Corners; Daniel Deming, 30, of Corinth; and Ashley Deming, no age or municipality of residence provided — were charged with first- degree robbery, a felony.
Stillwater police said information from Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies and Mechanicville police led to additional charged being filed for robberies that occurred earlier this month: at the Dollar General in Schuylerville on April 6, and at the Sunoco in Mechanicville on April 7.
Hutchins, was also charged with first-degree robbery for the Schuylerville incident. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the town of Milton for misdemeanor criminal mischief, deputies said.
Daniel Deming was also charged with fourth- degree con- spiracy, a felony, for the Schuylerville incident.
They were arraigned in Mechanicville City Court and sent to the Saratoga County Jail. They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
