CLIFTON SPRINGS/TROY - Mildred N. Clickner, 86, died Tues­day, April 10, 2018, at Rochester Re­gional Health Clifton Springs. Born in Lud­low, VT, she was daugh­ter of the late Peter Allen Lappala and Martha Le­hto­nen Lappala and wife of the late Paul F. Clickner. She had resided in the Troy and Cen­ter Brunswick Ar­eas most of her adult life. She was a grad­u­ate of Black River Academy in Lud­low VT and Al­bany Busi­ness Col­lege. Mil­lie was em­ployed by the Brit­tonkill Cen­tral School District in var­i­ous ad­min­is­tra­tive po­si­tions at the el­e­men­tary and mid­dle schools for over 30 years. She en­joyed work­ing with the chil­dren and made many friends among the staff. She was a mem­ber of the Brunswick WAYS Se­nior Cit­i­zens and Cen­ter Brunswick United Methodist Church. While Peter & Su­san were grow­ing up Mil­lie vol­un­teered with 4-H, Troop 537 Cub Scouts and the Brunswick Lit­tle League. Sur­vivors in­clude daugh­ter, Su­san N. Clickner, Phelps, NY; son, Peter P. (Barb) Clickner, Ball Ground, GA; Sis­ter-In-Law Mary Lappala, Tequesta, FL plus three beloved grand­chil­dren in Ge­or­gia: Katie (Stephen) Archer, Kevin (Jill) Clickner and Matthew (Jody) Clickner plus 6 (soon to be 7) great-grand­chil­dren and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews. Mil­lie was pre-de­ceased by her brother Allen Lappala, brother and sis­ter-in-laws Wal­ter & Chris­tine Clickner, Elsie Clickner, Thomas & Vir­ginia Clickner and Ernest & San­dra Clickner and niece Patti Clickner Deeb. Rel­a­tives and friends may call at the Bryce Fu­neral Home, Inc. 276 Pawl­ing Av­enue Troy on Satur­day, April 21, 2018 from 11-Noon with a ser­vice to fol­low. In­ter­ment will be in Ev­er­green Ceme­tery Wy­nantskill. In lieu of flow­ers con­tri­bu­tions may be made in mem­ory of Mildred N.
