Man stabbed dur­ing rob­bery

No ar­rests as of Thurs­day af­ter­noon

TROY, N.Y. » A man was stabbed mul­ti­ple times dur­ing a rob­bery at 375 10th Street, say Troy Po­lice.

The male is in his mid-twen­ties and is ex­pected to re­cover af­ter be­ing treated at a lo­cal hos­pi­tal.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred at ap­prox­i­mately 3 a.m. Po­lice said two males were in the house and while there were robbed by two sus­pects. One of the sus­pects car­ried a hand­gun, the other a knife, ac­cord­ing to As­sis­tant Po­lice Chief Daniel DeWolf.

DeWolf said that due to the pres­ence of weapons and the un­cer­tainty of where the sus­pects

fled to, the Troy Po­lice tac­ti­cal team (ERT) was ac­ti­vated to as­sist in ex­e­cut­ing a search war­rant of the build­ing.

De­tec­tives and ev­i­dence tech­ni­cians pro­cessed the scene and the in­ves­ti­ga­tion is con­tin­u­ing. DeWolf said there is no one was in cus­tody as of later Thurs­day af­ter­noon.
