Cops say Troy man ripped off business

The Record (Troy, NY) - - LOCAL NEWS -

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. » A Troy man was recently charged with grand larceny after he allegedly failed to perform webpage upgrades to a business as promised.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said that Johnny R. Bryant, 43, was charged with fourth- degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police said Bryant is the owner of a business called Green Click Innovations. Police said Bryant purported to the victim in this case that he would provide tech services consisting of webpage upgrades to the victim’s business webpage.

The victim paid Bryant $1,852 for services, but police said Bryant failed to perform any webpage upgrades as promised and then refused to return the money he was paid when requested to do so by the victim.

Bryant was processed and released to appear in Queensbury Town Court later this month.

Deputies said they are aware that several other businesses in the area have had interactions with Bryant and ask that those businesses contact the Sheriff’s Office at (518) 743-2500, or their local police department, if they believe they may be the victim of a crime.

Investigator Doug David and Patrol Officer Dan Habshi were the investigating officers.
