COAST GUARD DAY: The United States Coast Guard, one of the country’s five armed services, is a unique agency of the Federal government. The service was founded on August 4, 1790 when the first Congress authorized the construction of ten vessels to enforce tariff and trade laws and prevent smuggling. MILHAM PLANETARIUM: Williams College invites you to experience the wonders of our universe at the Milham Planetarium, located inside the Old Hopkins Observatory. Astronomy students at the college will host free shows for the public on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8p.m. beginning on June 5 and running through August 9. Audiences will be treated to shows from the highprecision Zeiss Skymaster ZKP3/B opto-mechanical planetarium projector. Each show lasts approximately 50minutes.
