Jules “Roy” Kantrowitz Brunswick- Jules “Roy” Kantrowitz, 80, of Lockrow Road died peacefully Friday November 2 at St. Peter’s Hospital. He is survived by his wife Beverley (Rose) Kantrowitz, a son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Whitney Kantrowitz (Kimber and Richard) of Delanson, Karen Colleen Morin of Poestenkil­l, Peggy Sheffer (Bud) of Troy, Mike Quigley of Harvard MA and his children, Kevin Quigley (Shawn), Jason Quigley (Kate, Patrick), Mike Quigley and Lyndsey Quigley and the late Kelly Sheldon’s children, Matt Sheldon (Ashley), Jaime Sheldon (Brian), Dove Sheldon (Joe & Logan), his beloved sister Joy Siskin of Pittsburgh, two sisters-in-law Ruth Thompson of Plattekill and June Varner of East Nassau, a brother-in-law Thomas Kenneth Rose of NC and many much loved nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins. Roy was affiliated with the Knights of Pythias, B.P.O.E. Brunswick Lodge #2556, the Associatio­n of Fairs and Festivals, the Veterans Center at the Schaghtico­ke Fair, Treasurer of TOPS, (Town of Pittstown Seniors) and Vice President of the Trustees of Pittstown United Methodist Church. Calling hours for family and friends will be at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7 located in Raymertown on Wednesday evening November 7 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. The funeral service for Roy will be held on Thursday November 8, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Jim Knapp officiatin­g. Burial with military honors will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery on Hewitt Road in Petersburg­h. Memorial contributi­ons in leu of flowers may be made to the Pittstown United Methodist Church 57 Old Route 7 Valley Falls, NY 12185 in memory of “Roy” Kantrowitz.
