Troy man pleads guilty to at­tempted bur­glary

AL­BANY, N.Y. >> Al­bany County District At­tor­ney David Soares an­nounced Andy Sousie, 31, of Troy, pleaded guilty to one count of sec­ond- de­gree at­tempted bur­glary, a Class D vi­o­lent felony, be­fore the Honor­able Wil­liam A. Carter in Al­bany County Court.

On Aug. 5, 2018, Sousie, un­law­fully en­tered a res­i­dence on Rem­sen Street in Co­hoes in an at­tempt to com­mit sec­ond- de­gree rob­bery.

Sousie is ex­pected to be sen­tenced on Jan. 10, 2019 and faces up to five years in state prison, fol­lowed by five years of post-re­lease su­per­vi­sion.

As­sis­tant District At­tor­ney David Szalda is han­dling the prose­cu­tion of the case.
