POESTENKILL SENIORS:
Weekly meetings every Tuesday at 1p.m. at the Sullivan-Jones post in Poestenkill. All seniors are welcome. Coffee and refreshments are served after the meeting, following by Bingo and cards. The hall is handicapped accessible with sufficient parking. The Poestenkill Seniors have catered lunches, pizza, clamsteams, fish fries and luncheons at various restaurants, informational talks on senior safety and bus trips to casinos, theaters and other points of interest.

WILLIAMS COLLEGE:
Phoebe Cohen, associate professor of geosciences, presents the Sigma Xi lecture, “Answering Burning Questions by Burning Tiny Fossils: Reconstructing Ancient Ecosystems via Single-Microfossil Carbon Isotopes.” The talk, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, April 23, from 4:15to 5:15p.m., in Wege Auditorium on the Williams College campus in Williamstown MA. A reception will follow in the Science Atrium.
WILLIAMS COLLEGE TUESDAY TEA: Williams College’s Tuesday Tea program aims to celebrate Williams authors and honor their scholarly and creative works. The four-week program continues on April 23as Aparna Kapadia, Assistant Professor of History discusses her book “In praise of kings: Rajputs, sultans and poets in fifteenthcentury Gujarat.” Each tea consists of a 20-minute presentation followed by a Q& A session. 4p.m., Stetson Reading Room, Sawyer Library on the Williams College Campus in Williamstown MA. ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
COMMEMORATION: In commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, a brief service and program will be held at the Genocide Memorial Monument located at Riverfront Park in Troy on Wednesday, April 24at 6p.m. This event is organized by the Armenian National Committee (ANC) of Albany and supported by the Homenetmen of Albany and the Knights & Daughters of Vartan. A dinner and program will follow at Holy Cross Armenian Church, 255Spring Avenue, Troy. In addition, a flag raising ceremony will be held at noon on Broadway in Watervliet by City Hall, the Police station and the Senior Center.
