ValleyCats Coaching Clinic set for March 16: The TriCity ValleyCats announced they will host a free clinic for youth coaches to learn new drills, practice formats, and fundamenta­l techniques. This event will take place on Tuesday, March 16th, at the Albany Police Athletic League Gym, located at 844Madison Ave in Albany. The clinic will run from 6:15 – 7:30 pm. Instructio­n will be led by Ryan Cameron, Joe Mahoney, and Garett Baron. The clinic will focus on teaching youth coaches ways to run more fun and interactiv­e practices. It will also showcase new practice equipment and highlight drills for proper conditioni­ng. Youth coaches are invited to register for this free event by contacting ValleyCats representa­tive, Matt Eckler, via email (Matt.Eckler@tcvalleyca­ts.com) or on the phone at (518) 629-2287 x-118. RSVPs are requested by Friday, March 11th.

Spend your summer at Camp Saradac!: The Saratoga Springs Recreation Department will begin registrati­on for Saratoga Springs city residents February 24th. Everyone age 5-12is welcome. For over 75years Camp Saradac has offered exciting and creative recreation­al and educationa­l activities for its campers. Ice Hockey Goalie Academy Skills Clinic: Every Monday night from 6:30to 7:30p.m. at the Hockey Hut followed by a one hour goalie-focused off-ice training session.The clinic will include stations that focus on rebound control, depth, angles, skating skills, and hand positionin­g. Game type situations and video and photo to help goalies show their position and movement in the crease. $25drop-in and $20 promotion if you bring a skilled shooter.
