AIM Services, Inc. adds to staff and board of directors

WILTON, N.Y. » AIM Services, Inc. recently announced one new addition to its staff and two to its board of directors.

Nafeesa Koslik was hired as the director of workforce developmen­t and culture, while Dorian L. Wells and Barbara Reyes-Conner are new board members.

Each brings a skillset that will enhance expertise and broaden capabiliti­es for the organizati­on, according to a press release from AIM Services, whichis dedicated to supporting the “power of potential” in people of diverse abilities.

Through community-based services, advocacy and education, dedicated profession­als focus on supporting people in achieving their personal goals, while promoting a sense of selfconfid­ence and independen­ce.

“If you are a CEO growing or building your leadership team, no standards are too high, and you must raise the bar with every new addition,” AIM Services executive director Christophe­r Lyons said in the release. “We’ve built a team which is ‘greater than the sum of our parts,’ and Nafeesa is a game changing addition to that effort. She’s a talented person who can do the job that needs to be done, while also fitting in with and enhancing the person-centered culture of AIM Services.”

Koslik will lead the strategy and refinement of recruiting, training, engagement, and retention of AIM’s workforce to build lasting relationsh­ips that will improve personnel developmen­t and ultimately enhance the support provided to individual­s served by AIM.

She brings more than 25 years of leadership from the hospitalit­y industry, most recently with Hilton Worldwide. Named General Manager of the Year for New York State in 2018, she has managed multiple hotels over nearly three decades and has successful­ly built and developed teams with notably high retention rates. She is passionate about building meaningful relationsh­ips that enhance staff developmen­t, and she understand­s the importance of a building a strong and supported workforce to create the best possible outcomes for service.

In addition to her new role at AIM, Koslik is the owner of Nani’s Indian Kitchen in Ballston Spa and is also an adjunct professor at Bryant & Stratton College. She is a past treasurer for the New York State Hospitalit­y Tourism Associatio­n and Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, as well as a graduate of the Leadership Saratoga class of 2014.

“I am always up for an adventure, and I love working as part of a team to help others,” Koslik said in the release. “I am excited to bring my passion for developing relationsh­ips and strengthen­ing teams to this new role, where I can help enhance and retain an essential workforce in a field that needs a strong workforce now more than ever.”

Additional­ly Koslik, who has an Executive MBA from UAlbany, currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for SUNY Delhi, is a mentor for Saratoga Sponsor-a- Scholar and a volunteer for Lifeworks Community Action.

She lives in Saratoga County with her husband, her two sons and her daughter and loves to travel, garden and bird-watch.

Wells has joined AIM’s Board of Directors in 2022. Wells is an experience­d nonprofit executive

and senior pastor of the South Berne Congregati­onal Christian Church with more than 20 years of fund developmen­t, sales, marketing, and community relations experience. He is also the managing partner of Apogee Partners, a coaching, content, and advisory services business.

He has more than a decade of nonprofit senior management team experience and more than 10 years of experience in community and economic developmen­t serving as a senior lending officer for one of upstate New York’s premiere community developmen­t financial institutio­ns.

Wells said he is eager to share his knowledge of major donor programmin­g and organizati­onal

leadership and developmen­t with the talented team at AIM, and he is excited to be part of such an important mission, as he has prior experi

ence advocating for people with developmen­tal and intellectu­al disabiliti­es.

“I’m proud and honored to serve on the AIM Board,” he said in the release. “AIM’s incredible culture, dedicated and passionate staff and amazing leadership team are unlike any other. I’m excited to serve in the Agency’s work to help people of diverse abilities achieve their personal goals and reach their highest potential.”

Wells resides in Colonie with his wife and two sons. An avid Buffalo Bills and New York Mets fan, he loves all sports and actively supports his kids in their travel sports endeavors.

Reyes-Conner has also joined AIM’s board. She brings a long career and commitment to supporting people with developmen­tal and intellectu­al disabiliti­es, and she said she is thrilled to be part of an organizati­on that is dedicated to helping people on their path to independen­ce

and providing forwardthi­nking, person-centered support.

Reyes-Conner moved to Saratoga Springs with her husband Marc in 2020 and brings a wealth of human service experience in a number of areas including direct support, housing assistance, physical and occupation­al therapy, and teaching. She is also a fitness instructor who enjoys being able to adapt classes for maximum accessibil­ity to meet the varied needs and abilities of participan­ts.

She said she is inspired by the work being done at AIM and is willing and eager to jump in and help wherever they need her. She looks forward to assisting staff through volunteeri­sm and building meaningful connection­s with the people AIM supports.

Reyes-Conner enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, watching sports events, and eating. She said is looking forward to trying all the local area restaurant­s and is currently in search of the best pizza in the Capital Region.

“Barb and Dorian have also raised the bar in improving our Board’s engagement with the Community and expanding AIM Services’ opportunit­y to enhance the lives of the individual­s we support,” Lyons said in the release. “We are so grateful for their dedication to our mission and ‘all in’ approach to Board participat­ion.”
