TROY, N.Y. >> Downtown Troy Restaurant Week returns Sept. 12 through Sept. 18. Restaurant Week highlights downtown Troy food and drink establishm­ents offering a selection of discounts, dinner pairings, special events and more. Going beyond the traditiona­l prix fixe menus often associated with a restaurant week, Troy Restaurant Week encourages diners to enjoy and discover a unique culinary experience not found anywhere else in the Capital Region during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There’s something in downtown Troy for every budget and palate at all hours of the day.

Have a taste at the restaurant that you’ve passed by but have yet to try, something different and fun for a staff lunch, an at-home family night, a date night out, or a quick takeout combo. Downtown Troy offers cuisine with flavors from around the world, with many vegan and gluten-free options.

“When it comes to cuisine in Downtown Troy, you can travel the world without ever leaving your block,” said Geoff Brault, executive director of the Downtown Troy Business Improvemen­t District.

“From American classics like hot dogs, burgers, wings, and sandwiches to global fare from Mexico, Korea, Morocco, Ireland, Italy, and more, the charming, historic streets of Troy are packed with flavor to discover during Restaurant Week.”

After enjoying a bite, bring your Troy Restaurant Week receipt to various local shops to enjoy retail savings. Presented by Rensselaer Polytechni­c Institute and Russell Sage College, students are encouraged to explore the vibrant downtown area and receive student discounts at many participat­ing purveyors.
