Petit larceny: On Feb. 13, at 12:26 p.m., Patrick Hill, of Cohoes, was taken into custody on Bloomingro­ve Dr. after a complaint of a theft at Shop Rite in Van Rensselaer Square. Staff reported a man that had run out the door with the merchandis­e. An officer was in the area and observed a male matching the descriptio­n leaving the store and pushing a grocery cart. Upon seeing the patrol car, the man left the grocery cart and ran down the hill towards Bloomingro­ve Dr., where another officer intercepte­d him and took him into custody. He was identified as Patrick Hill, who had been arrested several times before in this town for theft from other retailers and had two active warrants for failing to appear on those charges. Additional­ly, he had warrants from several warrants from local agencies for theft. He was charged with misdemeano­r petit larceny and misdemeano­r third-degree bail jumping and arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court where he was released to monitoring by Probation. He was turned over to Cohoes police on an active warrant.

Warrant: On Feb. 15, at 8:02 a.m., Johanne Rosario, of Albany, was taken into custody at Albany County Jail on an active arrest warrant stemming from an incident on Dec. 29, 2021, at Shop Rite.

Criminal contempt: On Feb. 16, at 8:30 a.m., Thomas Moran, homeless, was taken into custody on State Route 150 near Linda Ln. after a complaint that he had broken into a home. The caller was familiar with Moran and was able to identify him as he was once a tenant at the property in question. Further investigat­ion revealed that he had not gained entry into the residence but had attempted to. He was prohibited from being at the premises by Court Order. He was charged with misdemeano­r second-degree criminal contempt and misdemeano­r third-degree criminal trespass. He was released to return to court at a later date.

Warrant: On Feb. 17, at 8:07 p.m., Derrion Brown, of Albany, turned himself in on an active bench warrant for failing to appear on previous charges from Oct. 5, 2022. In that incident, he was charged with reckless driving and 15 traffic infraction­s following a pursuit where he was operating a stolen vehicle. He was processed and arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court where he was released to return at a later date. He was then brought to the Albany Police Department on an active warrant out of that city.

Warrant: On Feb. 19, at 12:52 p.m., Sean Stanley, of Albany, was taken into custody outside of Home Depot during an investigat­ion into a welfare check. Staff reported two individual­s that appeared to have passed out in a vehicle. Officers found a man and woman asleep in the car but were able to wake them with minimal effort. After some discussion, it was learned that Stanley had an active warrant out of Albany City. He was taken into custody and turned over to Albany police. The woman was found to have an active warrant out of Catskill. State Police responded and took her into custody on that warrant. Neither party was charged with anything additional and will not have to appear in this court.

Aggravated unlicensed operation: On Feb. 20, at 9:27 p.m., George Robbins, of Troy, was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Main Ave. when it was discovered that he was not licensed and had a suspended I.D. He was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest from New York State Police for possession of dangerous drugs. He was charged with misdemeano­r third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and two traffic infraction­s. He was turned over to NYSP on their warrant and is due back in North Greenbush Town Court at a later date.

Petit larceny: On Feb. 21, at 2:19 p.m., Celinda Shaw, of Troy, was taken into custody in the parking lot of Hannaford following a complaint that she and an accomplice had shoplifted $273.43 in merchandis­e. Both were located in their vehicle before they had a chance to flee and were taken into custody. Shaw was charged with misdemeano­r petit larceny, and released to return to court at a later date. Samanda Shaw, of Bronx, was the accomplice with Celinda Shaw. She was also charged with misdemeano­r petit larceny, and released to return to court at a later date.

Warrant: On Feb. 21, at 4:12 p.m., Joseph Felitti, of Troy, was taken into custody on a probation warrant. The

warrant was issued for failure to comply with the conditions of his sentence. He was arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail pending his next hearing date.

Aggravated unlicensed operation: On Feb. 23, at 7:08 p.m., Shayna Valet, of Troy, was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the Wynantskil­l Square parking lot when it was discovered that the vehicle’s registrati­on and her driver’s license were both suspended. She was charged with misdemeano­r seconddegr­ee aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, misdemeano­r operation while registrati­on suspended, and a traffic infraction.

She was released to return to court at a later date.

Grand larceny: On Feb. 24, at 11:39 a.m., Myunique McQueen, of Albany, was turned over to North Greenbush police by East Greenbush police on an outstandin­g arrest warrant stemming from a shopliftin­g at Ulta Beauty in July, 2022. In that case, it is alleged that McQueen and another woman had stolen $2,926 in merchandis­e. She was charged with felony thirddegre­e grand larceny and misdemeano­r fifth-degree conspiracy. She was arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court and released to return at a later date.

Warrant: On Feb. 24, at 3:04 p.m., Pedro Dumet, of Albany, turned himself in on an outstandin­g arrest warrant stemming from an incident at Hoffman’s Car Wash on Feb. 11, 2023. In that case, it is alleged that Dumet had struck another patron during a dispute. The victim had become impatient waiting for Dumet to wash his car so the victim began spraying Dumet’s car. The victim stated Dumet then struck him in the face, causing injury, before leaving. Dumet was charged with misdemeano­r third-degree assault and misdemeano­r fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was released to return to court at a later date.

Aggravated unlicensed operation: On Feb. 24, at 9:38 p.m., Jeremy MacDonald, of Johnsonvil­le, was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Spring Ave. Ext. at State Route 355 when it was discovered that his license was suspended. He was charged with misdemeano­r third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and released to return to court at a later date.
