Arts Center announces latest grant recipients
The Arts Center of the Capital Region recently announced that $510,000 in grant money is going to be distributed to 76 artists and projects in the Capital Region.
The grant money, ranging in amounts from $500 to $5,000, will be distributed in two funding cycles between June 1 and Dec. 31. The funded projects showcase a diverse range of artistic expression that are meant to “enrich the cultural landscape of the Capital Region.”
“We are dedicated to cultivating a thriving artistic community in our region, and we are delighted to provide support to artists from all backgrounds and disciplines. Our aim is to fund projects that have a lasting impact, contributing to the vibrancy and vitality of our community,” Joseph Mastroianni, the Vice President of Programs and SCR Grant Coordinator at the Arts Center, said in a news release.
“As a New York State Assemblymember, I’m committed to securing resources that benefit our community, and the New York State Statewide Community Regrants program is a valuable tool in achieving that goal,” said Assemblyman John McDonald III in the release. “By supporting grassroots initiatives, this program makes a real difference in the lives of residents throughout our region, and I’m proud to be part of this effort.”
