Registrati­on is open for 26th Annual Saints Alive! Shootout: The Saints Alive! Shootout returns after a four year hiatus. The shootout, which benefits over 350 Siena studentath­letes.

The event will be held at The Edison Club in Rexford on June 19th. Registrati­on is open for both foursomes and individual­s, with sponsorshi­p opportunit­ies also available for the event whose proceeds support the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund which directly benefits Siena College’s more than 350 student athletes.

Check-in and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., and tees off with a shotgun start (scramble format) at 9 a.m. The shootout immediatel­y follows the completion of play, with the event wrapping up with a post-golf reception and barbecue. Golfers will have the opportunit­y to take a putt for $10,000, and there will be numerous on-course competitio­ns with prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, closest to the keg, and more.

Orienteeri­ng with the Empire Orienteeri­ng Club: Find your way through unfamiliar terrain with maps and compasses. Easy, moderate, and hard courses will be offered and instructio­n is always offered for newcomers. Registrati­on starts at 11 a.m. and the event will begin at 1 p.m. on May 13, 2023 at Peebles Island State Park in Cohoes, New York. Cost will range from $5 to $10.

John Audino Football Camps: La Salle Institute Head Football Coach John Audino will once again host his annual football camps ranging from July 11 to July 20. The camps will consist of: Air Assault Passing Academy, July 11 to July 13 from 6 to 8 pm for students entering grades 7-12; Youth Football Camp from July 17 to July 20 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for students entering grades 3-6. The camp will be full contact; Modified JV/Football from July 17-20 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for students entering grades 7-10.

The Air Assault Camp will cost $100, the Youth Football Camp will cost $125, and the Modified/JV Football Camp will cost $150.

Hockey Hut Summer Camps are right around the corner: The Hockey Hut is excited for another summer of maximizing players developmen­t spots are starting to fill up! Put in your deposit now to reserve your players spot in our camps! Camps include over three hours of on-ice instructio­n including power-skating, puck control, and shooting. All camps will involve instructio­n tailored to that week. Camps also include outdoor off-ice training and hockey skills. All players will receive a jersey at the beginning of each camp.

Ice Hockey Goalie Academy Skills Clinic: Every Monday night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hockey Hut followed by a one hour goalie-focused off-ice training session.The clinic will include stations that focus on rebound control, depth, angles, skating skills, and hand positionin­g. Game type situations and video and photo to help goalies show their position and movement in the crease. $25 drop-in and $20 promotion if you bring a skilled shooter. Hockey Hut presents the Pierre Leblond Advanced Skills Class: Come train with a PRO! Each week players will work on a variety of advanced hockey skills training. Hockey Hut presents Drop In Shooting Class: Drop in class to work on the wrist shot and scoring moves. Saturdays at 11 am at the Hockey Hut. Cost: $20 per class. Payment received on location.

Levels include: a co-ed K —5th learn to play program; boys instructio­nal programs for beginner & novice players grades 2nd —5th & 6th-10th; an advanced instructio­n program for players in graders 3 —6 & 7—9 who want to refine their game while being introduced to more advanced techniques. All age level will be separated and a scrimmage will be held each night.
