Republicans, Democrats announce candidates for town offices

Renzullo says the following years will be pivotal for the town and though he’s not surprised with the Republican Party’s new blood, he feels that seasoned candidates are needed.
“Anyone getting into it right now knows they’re into a world of difficulties,” he said. “With our experience, along with our new people and our new ideas, we have some good people going this.”
The Republicans however, feel that new ideas are exactly what its slate intends to provide
“It’s time for a change,” said state Rep. Jay Case, who was present for his town’s Republican Caucus. “It’s an exciting time for the town.”
The Republicans argue that Winchester needs a few political newcomers to help it progress.
“When I look at their list it’s all the same names,” said Bryan Sundie, vice chairman of RTC. “It’s the people who’ve quite honestly have been serving on these board for the last several years and look where we are today.”
Sundie says that in order to go in a new direction, the town needs to a fresh pair of eyes and strong leadership.
“If we put these guys in office again are we going to go in a new direction?” Sundie said. “I’m excited to move forward with this slate.”
